Our unscientific poll: “Just Say No” on bond questions, except for one
A Special Election will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, March 2, 2021 to vote up or down on seven bond issues. Voters had the opportunity to vote by mail or by drop-off or can vote, in person, today.
Polls are open and you can go to vote.ri.org for all details.
Who’s already voted?
The Rhode Island Board of Elections provided the following update on the number of mail ballots received and number of emergency in-person ballots that have been cast for the March 2nd special referendum election:
61,053 mail ballots received to date, via:
Post Office – 54,853
39 Board of Canvassers Drop Boxes – 5,556
Board of Elections Drop Box – 644
Emergency in-person ballots cast to date
3,657 voters have voted an emergency ballot
Will you – have you voted? What you said…

Here is a link to a voter referenda handbook with explanations of each bond issue. https://www.sos.ri.gov/assets/downloads/documents/VoterReferendaHandbook-English-2021.pdf

Over the last few days we took a poll of our readers on each of the bond questions. Here are the results – you might say we were a JUST SAY NO group! However, if history is a predictor, Rhode Islanders never met a bond issue it didn’t like – so approvals from 1 to 7 are predicted.
