New Women’s Leadership Online Forum Features Two National Speakers
Rhode Island Women for Freedom & Prosperity, the voice of pro-liberty women in the Ocean State, today announced that it will hold its first women’s forum, an online event, on Saturday morning April 25.
With the theme, “women are America’s greatest natural resource,” the virtual event will feature two high-profile motivational and training speakers.
“I am thrilled that two of our national partners, the Independent Women’s Forum and the Grassroots Leadership Academy are providing us such accomplished women for our new group,” said Susan Wynne, Chairwoman of the group. “Jennifer Braceras and LeeAnn Kapanick will inspire more women to become engaged in the political process, with initial tips on how to get started.”
The 10:00 AM webinar is FREE for members of RI Women for Freedom & Prosperity and just $5 for non-members. Registrations are now being accepted at RIWomenForFreedom.org/events, where additional information on the event and featured speakers can be found.
First, an inspiring speech about why women should become engaged in the political process, from Jennifer Braceras, director of the Law Center for the nationally renowned Independent Women’s Forum. Jennifer, a lawyer and former Commissioner of the US Commission on Civil Rights and Trustee for the Univ. of Massachusetts, is a political columnist.
Next, with advocacy training by the nationally renowned Grassroots Leadership Academy, this motivational and instructional leadership forum will introduce women to some of the tools necessary become involved in public policy or politics, with vital tips on how to effectively advocate for reform.
This portion of our women’s leadership forum will be led by by LeeAnn Kapanick, former field operative for Americans for Prosperity, who has spearheaded numerous grassroots and political efforts in Pennsylvania and nationally. LeeAnn, a fourth-generation farmer herself who regularly rides American Quarter Horses, is a graduate of Penn State University and is an alumnus of the Anne B. Anstine Excellence in Public Service Series.
A central focus of the RI Women for Freedom philosophy is to encourage women to engage in civil and respectful public discourse, as opposed to the cancel-culture and incivility that has infected contemporary politics.
The mission of RI Women for Freedom & Prosperity is to empower and give voice to the silent majority of pro-liberty women in our state… to be heard and to effectively become involved our state’s political process and in society by providing them with the information, education & training, and motivation to confidently engage in civil public discourse and to become a trusted leader in the civic and business arenas.
