NEW! “Dear Dee,” Communication Advice
“Dear Dee,” Communication Advice
A new feature to start on Saturdays. Please join us in meeting – Dee!
Is one of your personal or professional relationships splintered or in a shambles because of a lack of communication, miscommunication or some type of communication breakdown? Bring your problem to Dee for communication advice. She’ll provide you with skills and insight to help you communicate more effectively so you can create a richer life, with less stress and greater results!
Dee (Donna Rustigian Mac) has been in the business of communication for more than 3 decades. She was one of the first females in the media, then became a business woman in digital media. For more than a decade she’s been an executive communication coach who is also a certified mindfulness teacher, studying at Brown University. She’s also the author of Guide to a Richer Life, Know Your Worth, Find Your Voice, Speak Your Truth, The Appreciation, #YayMe Journal and she created the Six Pillars of Effective Communication.
Dee has also raised two strong and independent millennial females and owns iVoice Communication, a company committed to creating healthy human connections through high level effective communication.
Here are some sample questions:
1. My sister and I had plans last weekend to get together but she cancelled at the last minute and never told me (I learned about it though our mom). I feel disrespected and hurt but she doesn’t seem to even recognize what she did. How can I avoid being angry with her?
2. My husband always used to give great, thoughtful gifts but it seems those days are gone. My birthday is coming up. How can I avoid another gas grill like he bought me last year?
3. “Katie” my coworker is smart and a lot of fun but happy not to advance in her career. I’m working towards a leadership position. Once I get it, what’s the best way “Katie” and I can continue our friendship?
Our Process!
To send your “Dear Dee,” question – in complete confidence – just email Dee at [email protected] – Put “Dear Dee” in the subject line, and then look for your answer on Saturday. Please keep your information private in not identifying specific people – and sign your note as you would like it to appear – such as “Confused in Cranston”
Any questions? Just send us a note at that same address. Thank you – and let’s have some fun with this, help out each other, and help others in the process, too.
Dear Dee will also post some video responses – so look for her feature starting next Saturday…
