MLK Community Center celebrates “first 100 years of service” in Newport with party for the community

Join the community for a Centennial Celebration on Thursday September 8th from 5:30 to 9:30pm at Fort Adams State Park. The event will be held to benefit the MLK Community Center.

There will be food stations from McGrath Catering, dancing to renowned World Premier Band, with fire pits, lawn games, and drinks.

Tickets are $100 – $50 and pay what you can

This is a “fun, casual-dress party on the North Lawn” and the MLK folks say, it’s NOT a fundraiser, but donations are appreciated. No one should let ability to donate or pay stop them from attending.

 of Fort Adams State Park, overlooking Newport’s iconic harbor and Pell Bridge.
