Mini Entrepreneur Fair for 4-16 year old Budding Entrepreneurs
ENTERPRISING KIDS: A LOT OF LEARNING AND FUN BUSINESS FAIR FOR KIDS
Across Rhode Island, countless children dream of one day owning their own business. For 11-year-old Julius Morris, that dream is already becoming a reality. Over the past two years, he has created and sold custom-made semi-precious stone bracelets. Thanks to his participation in the Mini Entrepreneur Fair, Julius was invited to vend at PVDFest, the JuneteenthRI Festival, and even landed a contract with a local fitness center for custom bracelet orders.
This September, a new group of young dreamers will get the chance to bring their business ideas to life at the Mini Entrepreneur Fair, happening Saturday, September 27 at 12:00 PM at the WaterFire Arts Center, 475 Valley Street, Providence.
The Mini Kids Entrepreneur Fair will be part of The Mini Entrepreneurs of Rhode Island (MERI). Created to encourage development in overall skills of young people by introducing them to entrepreneurship; the Mini Entrepreneur Fair provides a platform for children ages 4-16 to become entrepreneurs.
Leading up to the Fair, parents or caretakers team up with their child to assist them through the process of creating their business, developing their product or service offered to sell during the Fair at the Waterfire Arts Center. “We want to ensure the children have the best experience while developing their product and service and learning invaluable skills, while having fun†says Director Erica Campbell.
