Memory Care Workshop for public and professionals – “Things you can (should) do”
The RI Assisted Living Association will present “Possibilities & Prevention in Dementia Care: Things You Can (Should) Do”, a workshop addressing memory care for both the professional and general public audience on Tuesday, November 16th from 5 to 8pm at the Radisson Airport Hotel on Post Road in Warwick.
Leading experts in Alzheimer’s Disease and related Dementias will participate in the workshop for families, caregivers, and healthcare workers to present management and treatment strategies.

Speakers are:
John Stoukides, MD, Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center. Stoukides will discuss currently approved and emerging pharmacologic treatments to improve memory and slow disease progression for those with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Geoffrey N. Tremont, PhD, Director of Neuropsychology, Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital. Tremont will discuss important risk and protective factors related to brain health with specific recommendations about behavioral and lifestyle strategies for reducing risk of memory decline.
