“BI-DONE”

I wish I came up with that, but I can’t take the credit. FRONT PAGE of the NEW YORK POST’s Monday headline. Instant classic and HE IS done. What remains to be seen is if he stays on AS PRESIDENT. I mean if you’re too old and feeble to run for another term then one would have to deduce your cognitive decline is such a significant issue that staying on as President might do the nation more harm than good.

As far as how I’m going to approach this topic today, I’ve really given this a lot of thought. One thing that has been gnawing away at me that seems to get lost in all the frenzied discussions and posts about this is that BIDEN is an old man who we have all watched struggle. It’s so preposterous to me that the media was demonizing the right or anyone who pointed out the obvious. Instead, the busload of narcissists on the left blame shifted and said conservatives were serving up “DEEP FAKES” of the President and told us he was healthier than most 30-year-olds. DEAR GOD. I mean honestly – do they think we’ve forgotten that BOLD FACED GASLIGHTING ATTEMPT? No matter my friends… and trust me, I’ll get to THAT next week.

What I want to say about Joe Biden and this whole fiasco this week is this: true, I don’t support his super woke far left agenda and I don’t even like the guy that much, but I have tremendous compassion for what’s happening to him mentally and physically- and it breaks my heart that his team and family continued to dress him up and push him out from behind the curtain just to stay in power.

I want to be clear for those reading my stuff for the first time, at heart and for most of my life I was a moderate Democrat. As time went on, I felt orphaned by the party and one day realized that I didn’t recognize them anymore. Rather than stay in an unhealthy political relationship, I moved on, sliding into the political fray as an INDEPENDENT. It is far more fitting for who I have evolved into after seeing the lows the Democrats have sunk to and the disintegration of basic moral standards that keep children, the vulnerable among us, and our communities safe. It’s shocking. I simply cannot and will not pull the lever for “anything that moves” BLUE. That’s reckless, Ignorant, lazy and Irresponsible as an American and Army Veteran.

Back to Joe Biden… As someone who cares for her mother in cognitive decline my empathy for what Biden is going through is endless. The forgetfulness, the mood swings, the character changes, the emotional lows, anger, frustrations, unable to do basic tasks etc, etc. I understand how difficult it must be for him, firsthand. I could never imagine dressing my mother up and rolling her out onto any stage ANYWHERE if she was supposed to be there, given what is happening to her. The HUMAN element of this terribly sad situation has gotten lost because people get so wrapped up into politics. What has been done to, around, behind his back and all the scheming that’s gone on to keep him propped up is so utterly repulsive I don’t know how anyone could look at the Democrats and the operatives who run things the same way EVER.

If all you want to do is win, well then, you’re sub-human and in the same category as JOY REID. If you care about people and what you have seen, and the man the President has become, then at the very least, privately, you would rebuke the people who conjured up this $h!t show. You’d have to admit they should have protected him and gracefully helped him transition away from that powerful demanding job instead of forcing him out COUP style with a Nancy Pelosi declaration to him saying “we can do this the EASY WAY or the HARD WAY” like GOTTI might have said before sticking a gun up someone’s nose.

I don’t like Joe Biden’s politics, but he deserved better than that. He’s a sick old man. He deserved WAY better than that. MAYA ANGELOU told us in 1997 her most important life lesson was “when someone shows you WHO THEY ARE, BELIEVE THEM”. Apply that however you will with all things political… and perhaps, personally. Might save you some serious heartache down the line and a vote for the wrong candidate. For what it’s worth…

BE STILL AND KNOW

“Be still and know” comes straight out of PSALMS. PSALM 46:10 to be exact. In my own words…that verse means chill. God is gonna take care of you, protect you, open the right doors, close the wrong ones and fight your battles. It’s something I fought against for a long time because I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I didn’t know God. I DO know SO MANY HURT PEOPLE who are at their wits end right now and maybe you’re one of them if you’re reading this. Maybe you were supposed to read this. 

It’s hard to talk a little faith these days though because the minute you start talking about God a lot of folks seem to get pissed. I never got that. These same folks have no problem talking with Muslims about Allah, Atheists about science, or people that believe in NEW AGE ideas… but if you mention GOD!? WATCH OUT!  Some of You might be pissed right now. Oh well. It’s my column. Go read something else.

All I’m trying to share with this quick thought is that God saved me. He pulled me out of the mess I had made, entered my heart and soul and slowly worked on me to teach me right living. I’m not perfect and always a work in progress, but I’ve never been happier. My way got me into the mess I was in, God’s way got me out. Look, if you’re lost and have come to the end of yourself like I did in 2017, give God a shout out. Why not?  Can’t hurt or don’t that’s up to you. I just care about hurting people… because I used to be one of them. Like they say in AA, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”. It’s time my friends, turn that page. Life is hard but I’ll never do it alone again, and you don’t have too either. Just sayin’.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL

I DON’T KNOW ANYONE WHO DOESN’T NEED A GOOD DISTRACTION FROM THIS WORLD RIGHT NOW, and although all you see online these days are REELS about the “Bread and Circus”,and FOOTBALL is just a way to shift our attention to other stuff while they burn ROME down…. I SAY, whatever! I LOVE FOOTBALL even if the refs blow and the game is rigged. I do. I mean, last year the calls! THE number of huge blown calls in BIG GAMES was mind numbing. These guys are supposed to be professionals and with all the technology we have today you have to wonder how they got it wrong so damn often last season but yet, WE WATCH AND WATCH… AND BET ON FOOTBALL.

The story lines are compelling, the production is excellent and the game itself, though not like it was 30 years ago, is still amazing to me. My dad got me hooked on football when he took me to the decrepit FOXBORO stadium before KRAFT bought it, to see the PATS vs. THE LIONS in the 70’s. We walked what seemed like forever to get to the stadium and we sat on metal benches. I had the ugliest brown SEARS coat on and froze my behind off, but what A DAY!

I loved hanging out with my father back then. We had some fun adventures. He would also watch football at home and secretly was a mad GIANTS fan. I never asked him why. I should have… ANYHOW I’m counting down till the Patriots opener and I really hope MAYO knows what the hell he’s doing. Hey, I’m giving the guy a CHANCE as I really didn’t support this hire and I want him to succeed because he seems like a really great guy. I just hope he’s a really great coach. The way I see it, the season can’t be any worse than the CAM NEWTON experiment. Can it? Oh, and for the LOVE OF GOD, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE SIGN JUDON… SIGN THE MAN! TODAY… I’m begging you in my mind… SIGN THE MAN.
