The news summary discloses an obscured fact: there’s plenty of money around to devote to social needs such as hunger, to wit, banks making gifts, organizations raising money and collecting food. Which points out that private activity can get the job done and is much to be preferred instead of reliance on (and often gaming of) a government program — which so open to fraud and abuse.
