Business Beat: Hannah Street Consulting Expands in Providence with New Innovation District Office
Locally owned firm doubles its space as it enters its 23rd year
Hannah Street Consulting has relocated to a new, larger office in Providence’s Innovation District. The office—twice the size of the firm’s previous space—marks a significant milestone and provides room to support continued growth.
The firm marked the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on April 27, joined by Providence Mayor Brett P. Smiley, who recognized the company’s continued commitment to remaining anchored in the state’s capital city.
“I’m grateful that successful businesses like Hannah Street Consulting continue to choose Providence as they grow,” said Mayor Brett P. Smiley. “Providence’s small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and that is why I have been committed to making the city services they rely on more accessible, responsive, and effective. I’m thrilled to be welcoming Hannah Street Consulting into this new space where they will be better positioned to support the City’s nonprofit community.”
Founded in 2003 by Betsy Grenier, Hannah Street Consulting partners with nonprofit organizations locally, across New England, and nationally, providing expertise in fundraising, governance, strategic planning, and organizational development. The firm focuses on small- and mid-sized organizations, helping them build capacity in practical, affordable ways.
In recent years, the firm has experienced strong growth, expanding both its client base and its team, which now includes ten professionals. Its clients include Trinity Repertory Company, St. Mary Academy—Bay View, the American Veterinary Dental College, and the Vision for Animals Foundation, among others.
“This move gives us the space to grow alongside our clients,” said Betsy Grenier, founder. “We’ve built our work around helping nonprofits strengthen their impact, and Providence has always been home and central to that mission, even as we expand nationally.”
