Gimme’ Shelter: Trot, the Lemon Beagle! (Photos) Here at the RI SPCA – Cheryl Tudino
by Cheryl Tudino, RISPCA Contributing Writer

Cheryl Tudino, RISPCA
Hi there, I’m Cheryl, a volunteer at the RISPCA in Warwick, full-time treat dealer, poop scoop enthusiast, and unpaid publicist for dogs who deserve way more followers than influencers.
.
This week I would like to introduce you to the RISPCA’s very bestest boy, Trot. 🍋
.
Trot is a 2-year-old cream-colored Lemon Beagle with a heart full of love! Some lemons make lemonade. This one makes your heart melt. This boy has a heart as sweet as lemonade on a summer day. He is a gentle boy who may need a little time to settle in and feel safe, but once he does, he is ready to be your loyal little sidekick.
.
Trot has lived with another dog and has a history of being social with other dogs. He has also met cats and older children, so he has some experience with the whole “multi-species household” thing. Basically, he has done his research and is ready for his forever home.
.
What Trot really needs is someone patient and kind who will let him take life at his own pace. Give this handsome boy a little time, lots of love, and probably a few cookies, and you may have just found yourself with the sweetest addition to your family.
He is 30 pounds of floppy ears, adorable beagle charm, and endless sniffs. And let’s be honest, life is better with a little lemon zest in it.
.
If you are looking for a devoted companion who will stick by your side, come meet our Trot. He is ready to squeeze his way into someone’s heart, and perhaps into their comfy bed. Don’t let this little perfect lemon sit on the shelf. He is ready to be your main squeeze!
.
Apply to adopt our sweet and handsome Trot at https://www.rispca.org/adoptable-dogs , or email [email protected] with any questions!
.
Animal ID- RIS-A-2947- Trot says, “My digits”

.
Cheers,
Cheryl 🐾
