Gimme’ Shelter: Mimi and Mellody at Providence Animal Control Center
Hi! Hi! We are Mimi and Mellody, we came from a loving family but ended up at PAC when the landlord said we had to go, how sad! Both of us went through the “Gimme Shelter” program where we were spayed and neutered and given back to our family.
Mimi was named when the family thought he was a girl but he was a boy LOL. We don’t have to be adopted together but it would be nice. Mimi is an outgoing, in your pocket boy and he doesn’t bother Melody.
Melody is a less is more kinda kitty and might like to live solo or with another small creature that’s not a cat. It’s because she’s a tri-colored female, they are all spicy like that – haha. Each kitty is between 1 and 2 years of age. Please reach out about us!

If you can see us, we are still available! We prefer everything regarding adoption be done via email, this way we can answer any time or day! We do need an application submitted before scheduling a visit. If you don’t have access to email, no worries, please call 401 680 7591. We differ from other shelters by offering a one-on-one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! Please email [email protected] or [email protected]*
About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.
As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
