Gimme’ Shelter: Meet Wilma! – Cheryl Tudino, RISPCA
by Cheryl Tudino, contributing writer – RISPCA

Cheryl Tudino, RISPCA
Hi there, I’m Cheryl and I volunteer at the RISPCA shelter in Warwick by dog walking, fundraising, and social media messaging. I am here to share with you a peek at your new adoptable BFF!
Meet Wilma, a senior sweetheart with a heart full of love and talent for turning houses into homes. She is so sweet and gentle she could lower your blood pressure by just walking into the room. Known for her friendly, easygoing nature, Wilma is the definition of gentle and mellow, basically a professional at cozy afternoons and leisurely strolls.
She is happiest soaking up the simple joys of life: comfy naps, quiet companionship, and being a loyal and never fading shadow.

Adopt Wilma:
-
Comes pre-loved
-
No zoomies included
-
10/10 couch potato
-
Will steal your heart, not your shoes
This gal brings a calm, comforting presence wherever she goes, like a warm blanket with four legs. Adopting Wilma means gaining a devoted BFF who believes the best things in life are love, kindness, and a really good nap. This ‘Golden Girl’ is ready to spend her golden years giving unconditional love and permission to slow down and smell the flowers to someone special.
Wilma is part of our Seniors for Seniors program. Seniors for Seniors lets adopters who are 65 years and older bring home a senior pet at no cost, supplies included, and up to $1000 medical reimbursement for the first year. The RISPCA really values this program because everyone deserves a best friend in their golden age.
While we don’t have a history of Wilma living with dogs or kids, she has previously lived in harmony with a feline roommate.
If you are ready to adopt a BFF who will binge-watch Netflix series with you without judgement and give you unconditional love, then Wilma is your new BFF. Her application can be found on our website:https://www.rispca.org/adoptable-dogs.
