Gimme’ Shelter – Dolly wants to say Hello!

Hi, I was found in the woods when my finder was looking for another dog! That’s okay, I was happy to get out of there! I am a sweet and sensitive little dog at only 31 lbs (I could used some groceries!) I can be shy around new people and surroundings but once I open up, I am a snuggle bug. I would do well in a calm and quiet home where I can gain some confidence. I haven’t been too interested in toys but I would much rather cuddle up on your lap for some chin scratches!

About

People describe me as sweet, gentle, and snuggly. I have a short coat length and I am fully up to date on my vaccinations, and spayed. I’ll be good in a home with other dogs and other animals, such as horses and guinea pigs.

Coat length: Short House-trained Yes Health Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered. Good in a home with Other dogs, other animals. Has met horses and guinea pigs.

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our FaceBook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
