Author! Author! – perfect gifts, meet 4 RINewsToday authors at RI Authors Expo
The 10th Annual Rhode Island Authors Expo, ARIA’s (Association of Rhode Island Authors) signature event, will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI. This FREE event will run from 10:00 to 5:00 and includes 100+ local authors of all genres, headliners and VIPs, panels and presentations, a Cardi’s Reading Zone, Writer’s Resource Area, raffle prizes, and even a visit from Santa!
Shopper’s tip: Bring a shopping bag! You will want to fill it up after meeting this wonderful authors and getting signed books to keep or to give to others for the holidays.
Writer’s tip: Come and meet other authors in the type of genre you write in – see how they published their books, what their successes have been – and pitfalls!

Storytelling lends itself to confronting social justice issues. Systemic problems become viscerally personal through the specific experiences and emotions of a character. When a fictional character confronts a moral quandary, and begins a journey to find solution, readers are invested. What is the writer’s responsibility toward these issues?
