Get your holiday(s) on! – L’Esperance mandolin orchestra – TONIGHT
L’Esperance looks forward to sharing music for the holidays with the Church of Apostles in Coventry on December 4th at two events.
The first event will be held from 2 to 4pm, on the 4th when L’Esperance, the mandolin orchestra, will perform holiday favorites from around the world at the Narragansett Chamber’s Holiday Faire, where 40 local artisans and craftspeople are displaying their art. Great locally sourced gifts for the season. The Narragansett Faire is open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Food Bank.
The second event will be held, same day, from 7 to 8:30pm at the Church. The Church of the Apostles is located at 170 Fairview Avenue in Coventry, RI. Donations to the concert will support Project Hand-Up, the Coventry food bank. This great organization provides food and support for disadvantaged families in Coventry.

About L’Esperance Mandolin Ensemble:
The mandolin offers hope to those of us who seek the joy of expressing our inner selves through the gift of music. This versatile, intimate instrument lends its voice to a wide range of musical styles from Brazilian chouro to American Bluegrass; from Baroque trio concertos to Klezmer doinas; from avant garde contemporary compositions to Top 40 popular classics. Today the mandolin is enjoying a musical renaissance, once again returning to its place among the plucked string family of instruments.
L’Esperance features musicians from Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island and Connecticut of different backgrounds and ages who come together for the pleasure of making music with each other. Since 1994, l’Esperance has been sharing that joy with audiences around New England. Recent performances include the Courthouse Center for the Arts in South Kingstown, Bank Street College in New York City, the Blackstone River Theater in Cumberland, the Congregational Church of Grafton, MA, and the Porter Phelps Museum in Hadley, MA. Our music ranges from classical to contemporary, from Celtic to Klezmer, from rock standards to Baroque.
