The many assistance programs of the Diocese of Providence’s Catholic Charities and Social Ministry also continue to operate throughout the state for Rhode Islanders in need. For more information on assistance available, visit https://dioceseofprovidence.org/find-support or call 401-421-7833.
Other Cooling Centers in Rhode Island
Access more cooling centers at the RI EMA: https://riema.ri.gov/resources/cooling-centers.
As this smoky weather has come upon us quickly, not every center may be up and running – but we encourage you to be aware of creative ideas around you – the public library – your local fire station – police station – the malls – etc. Be safe over the next few days – and stay hydrated and out of the sun as much as ossible.
