ELISHA Project Food, Essentials Giveaway Ahead of Mother’s Day – First 500 Cars
In time for Mother Day, the ELISHA project to Distribute Food, Essentials to 500 RI Families Sat., May 9, 8 a.m. in Pawtucket at The ELISHA project facility, 100 Main St, Pawtucket, RI 02860 (formerly Apex)

The Elisha Project, RI’s leading food rescue organization, will host a Share Market and distribute fresh food, hygiene products, household goods and more to 500 Rhode Island families in need. This is a drive through, car only event. Tickets will be distributed to the first 500 vehicles who arrive. Each vehicle will receive the same amount of items, regardless of the number of occupants in the car.
This Share Market is Elisha project’s first of 2026 and comes at a critical time – ahead of Mother’s Day and on the heels of recent SNAP benefit reductions impacting 2,500 Rhode Islanders.
This initiative is part of the ELISHA project’s broader effort to improve the lives of those who need it most in Rhode Island. In 2025, EP held 15 Share Markets and distributed nearly 7.8 million pounds of culturally sensitive food, furniture and essential hygiene supplies across RI’s urban core through share markets and other programs.
