Cranston welcomes Grifols, a global healthcare company

Cranston welcomed Grifols, a global healthcare company at a ribbon cutting on September 16th, at their new offices at the Cranston Parkade Shopping Center on Garfield Avenue in Cranston.

Paolino Properties, owner of the Center, noted that Grifols, founded in 1909, is one of the largest plasma companies with a growing network of donation centers worldwide. The company develops plasma into essential medicines used to treat rare, chronic and, at times, life-threatening conditions. As a recognized leader in transfusion medicine, Grifols also offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions designed to enhance safety from donation through transfusion.

“We are very excited to welcome Grifols to the Cranston Parkade Shopping Center so that we may continue to offer shoppers and the community with the essential services they’re looking for, especially important services such as healthcare,” said Joseph R. Paolino Jr., Managing Partner of Paolino Properties. “We are happy Grifols has decided to expand their business into Rhode Island.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with Cranston Mayor Kenneth Hopkins. Grifols currently employs 38 people at its new Cranston location and is actively hiring to fill more positions.
