Cranston Community Artists’ Bazaar to benefit Cranston schools
Calling all Cranstonians! Support your public schools and buy some wonderful items from local artists and vendors. Enjoy kids’ activities – food trucks – raffles – and more! The Cranston Community Artists’ Bazaar will be held this Saturday, July 17th from 10am to 3pm on Tate Field, Gansett Avenue in Cranston.
All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the Cranston Public School District.
This event comes out of an event held in previous years, the Bolts Bazaar, which raised funds for Cranston High School East.
Jessica Moquin, event organizer said, “We usually held this event in the East gymnasium, but due to COVID the gym is being used now for extra classroom space. Finding out that our annual event would be canceled really struck a chord with me. I was beyond aggravated with COVID “ruining” another moment for the community. I decided we would make the event larger and something that would benefit everyone!”
Moquin continues, “”Hosting an event like this not only helps raise money for our public schools, it brings the community together and it helps local businesses that were also affected by COVID. Once I posted the information about the event there were dozens of businesses ready to donate gift cards for raffle items, community groups asking to join and volunteers to help run the event.
I am proud to see the vendors that annually joined us for the Bolts Bazaar attend this event as well. Right now we have over 100 vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, raffles and more! I am thrilled with the idea of this becoming an annual event that will help our schools, our community and our local businesses”.

Rain date is Sunday, July 18th.
