Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation (CISF) announces a significant new partnership with Lila Delman Compass for sponsorship of its summer 2024 season of Community Free Sailing. The Lila Delman Compass sponsorship will support multiple opportunities throughout the summer of 2024 for people of all ages to get on the water and learn how to sail at no charge to participants through CISF’s Community Free Sailing Program.

“After moving back home to Jamestown 14 years ago, and as an active member of the Jamestown
community, I have seen first-hand how CISF has enriched and impacted my sons’ lives through their
participation in the program”, commented Molly McDonough, Sales Associate in Lila Delman Compass’
Jamestown Office. “Lila Delman Compass’s commitment and contribution to the CISF program will
enrich the lives of many by supporting the Foundation’s mission — offering families and youths equal
access through the free sailing program. I am proud to be a part of the Lila Delman Compass Team.”

Community Free Sailing is one of CISF’s longest running programs and has enabled hundreds of
Jamestown residents and visitors to enjoy the bay and learn to sail since the program launched in 2006.
This new partnership with Lila Delman Compass will help CISF to continue successfully delivering the
popular program to the Jamestown community.

Meg Myles, CISF’s Executive Director, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are
delighted to join forces with Lila Delman Compass to continue making the joy of boating accessible to
our community. This partnership underscores our commitment to providing unique opportunities for
people to learn and engage with Narragansett Bay.”

The Lila Delman Compass – sponsored Community Free Sailing Program will run from July 10 through
August 14, every Wednesday from 4:30-6:30pm
from the boat ramp at Fort Getty in Jamestown, RI.

No reservations are required, and no experience is necessary to participate. CISF provides an instructor on board every fourteen-foot Hobie Wave catamaran, and life jackets are provided. Participants will have the chance to safely learn essential boating skills and experience the beauty of sailing on the waters surrounding Jamestown.
