Buy Art! Wickford Art Festival this weekend
This weekend will be a return to the icon of art and tourism in Rhode Island – the Wickford Art Festival. July 10 & 11, 10am to 5pm, and at a new location this year, the Festival will be at Wilson Park. There will also be a walking map that will show you how to find your favorite artists and other features, making this year’s Festival most user-friendly.
Featuring over 180 fine artists from across the country, the Festival specializes in hosting the most well known from New England, and most notably, Rhode Island. Fine art will be featured in a variety of mediums including: ceramics, wood, wearable and decorative fiber, furniture, fine jewelry, drawing, etching, glass, mixed media, painting (watercolors, oil, gouache, acrylic), photography, printmaking, pyrography, and sculptures.
Admission is free. Keep in mind that in Rhode Island, sales of fine art is sales tax free.

FESTIVAL INFO, FOOD & WHAT TO DO!
Parking is available at Wilson Park and Wickford Middle School ($10 suggested donation to benefit WAA scholarship fund, the Rotary Club of NK which supports many local nonprofit organizations). A complimentary shuttle will run from Wickford Middle School to Wilson Park and the village. Parking is also available at the town’s public lots and permitted street parking on West Main Street, Main Street, Brown Street. (Click “Parking Map” below).
Upon arrival at the festival, stop by the Wickford Art Association information booth for a festival map, to purchase one of a kind festival apparel or enter to win a piece of art while supporting the scholarship raffle. Enjoy Rhode Island’s favorite treats including Newport Creamery Awful Awfuls, Del’s Lemonade, scrumptious kettle corn from Kettle Corn Express and delicious cuisine from Gansett Poke right in Wilson Park! Historic Wickford is just a ¼ mile walk from Wilson Park so make a day of it in beautiful Wickford.
