Big Ol’ Clambake at Casey Farm – get tix NOW
Saunderstown, R.I., Saturday, August 7, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
What could be better than a Big Ol’ Clambake during a beautiful Rhode Island summer? How about one that also supports two of your favorite non-profits, Historic New England’s Casey Farm and The Contemporary Theater Company! Held at beautiful, bayside Casey Farm, this will be a day of food and fun featuring live music by CTC’s 2019 Wakefield Idol Winner Kaitlyn Tarro. The clambake will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Casey Farm, 2325 Boston Neck Road (Route 1A) in Saunderstown, R.I.
The event will start at 4pm with lawn games, farm tours, and live music. At 5pm, guests will enjoy a buffet by Pawtucket’s own B & M Catering with clamcakes and chowder, barbeque chicken, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, cornbread, and more. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available at the cash bar. Dance some more to Kaitlyn Tarro and her music, play some games, check out the museum gallery and gardens, and enjoy the fun farm vibe until 7pm.
Guests get a choice of seating at a picnic table under the big tent—gather up to eight friends and buy out a whole table–or bring your own chair or blanket and find a great spot on the lawn. If you buy picnic table tickets for less than eight, you may be seated with others, so you’ll make new friends. This all-outdoors event requires social distancing of at least three feet away from people outside of your household and encourages wearing masks when you are not able to stay distant.
Tickets for picnic table seating are $60 for adults, $40 for children twelve and under, and $5 for children five and under. Bring-your-own seating is $50 for adults, $30 for children twelve and under, and $5 for children five and under.
We recommend buying tickets in advance to make sure you reserve your spot, but a limited number of tickets may be available at the gate. The rain date for this event is the same time the following day, Sunday, August 8.
Casey Farm is located at 2325 Boston Neck Road (Route 1A) in Saunderstown, R.I. You can get tickets in advance through the Contemporary Theater Company’s website, ContemporaryTheaterCompany.com, find the link through social media, or when you visit Casey Farm or CTC at 327 Main Street in Wakefield in person.

About Casey Farm: https://www.historicnewengland.org/property/casey-farm/
The farm is located on the ancestral homeland of the Narragansett nation. In the eighteenth century, this property overlooking Narragansett Bay produced food for local and foreign markets. Today, farm managers raise organically grown produce for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. A weekly farmers’ market from May 15 through October offers products from Casey Farm and other local vendors. We offer a wide range of farm-based education programs. Tour the farmyard to visit the animals, the cemetery where six generations of Caseys are buried, and the farm house museum gallery featuring family portraits and cultural objects representing all the people of this land.
About Historic New England: https://www.historicnewengland.org/
Casey Farm is one of more than three dozen historic sites owned and operated by Historic New England, the oldest, largest, and most comprehensive regional heritage organization in the nation.
