Believers United in Christ 2nd Annual Gathering at Johnston War Memorial Park
Believers United in Christ Hosts 2nd Annual Gathering at Johnston Memorial Park
Believers United in Christ held its 2nd Annual Gathering on Saturday, June 21st, at Johnston Memorial Park, welcoming people throughout the day from across RI and MA for a powerful day of fellowship, worship, and prayer.
The event opened with heartfelt prayer and sermon from our Spanish community. Attendees also heard an impassioned unifying message from Reverend David Butera, founder of Believers United in Christ. The day offered prayers for our military, first responders, school administrators and families uniting believers in gratitude and intercession for those who serve, protect, and teach our children to become upright citizens. Pastor Mike Woodward from The Church of the Cross, formally Ocean State Baptist Church, gave an inspiring message encouraging churches to expand their faith. The event also featured ministries and services that Christian organizations provide to help the local community.
The day also featured a moving performance by Living Scripture Theatre, as well as an atmosphere of praise and worship led by special guest vocalist Meghan Carew and artist and songwriter Eric Lee Brumley with his featured band.
Believers United in Christ is a non-denominational movement with a mission to unite the body of Christ—regardless of church affiliation—for worship, prayer, and praise, building stronger bonds across the Christian community.
Reverend Butera is quoted “Each time we have a gathering of Christians the bond of brother and sisterhood grows stronger and deeper as we encourage and help one another in our shared Christian experiences which helps fosters unity.”
