Bank of America Commits $250M Over the Next Five Years to Address Hunger and Other Basic Needs for Families in Communities Around the Country
Local New England Nonprofits to Receive Over $200k this Holiday Season
As families across the country prepare for the holiday season, Bank of America has announced a $250 million national commitment over the next 5 years to fight hunger and support organizations addressing essential needs in local communities. This investment expands the bank’s longstanding efforts to help individuals and families access nutritious food and critical services, particularly during the winter and holiday months when demand on nonprofit partners is at its highest.
As part of its new commitment, Bank of America will deliver $5 million to nearly 100 nonprofit organizations currently addressing urgent food needs for individuals and families. This move will help ensure these organizations can address increasing needs at the local level.
As part of this national effort, Bank of America is providing $240,000 to hunger–relief organizations across the Boston region and New England, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the region’s most vulnerable communities.
