Bank of America customers get free “Museums on Us” for July 4th weekend

This Fourth of July weekend, Bank of America cardholders can explore local culture and history for free with Museums on Us®, taking place the weekend of July 5 and 6, 2025. This month, Rhode Island and SouthCoast participants include:
  • Providence Children’s Museum – 100 South Street, Providence
    • Beat the heat and check out Water Ways, where children can send boats and balls spiraling and twisting through vortexes, “paint” watery designs on a large slate wall, build mazes and dam water cascading downstream with blocks and sandbags and more!
  • RISD Museum – 224 Benefit Street, Providence
    • Brighten Up! Contemporary Enamels launched in June. This presentation combines objects from the collection with recent acquisitions, including those generously given by the Enamel Arts Foundation, which serves to educate, document, and promote a greater awareness of the art form of enamelwork. Together, these works demonstrate the many ways artists enliven metal through bold and bright enameling techniques.
  • International Tennis Hall of Fame – 194 Bellevue Avenue, Newport
    • Visit the Arthur Ashe VR Experience! The Ashe ’68 VR experience travels back to the year 1968 and immerses visitors in the tennis champion’s moment as he becomes the first Black man to win the US Open, and uses his newfound celebrity to lift his voice against injustice.
  • New Bedford Whaling Museum – 18 Johnny Cake Hill
    • Don’t miss the Jethros performance on Friday, July 4, then come back and check out what’s new during the weekend! Current exhibits include  Morabeza: Cape Verdean Community in the South Coast, Claridade: Cape Verdean Identity in Contemporary Art, Overheard Underwater: Perri Lynch Howard, and the new Kids’ Corner
Museums on Us is part of Bank of America’s commitment to making the arts accessible and supporting local communities. With over 225 participating institutions nationwide, this program is a gateway to culture and education for millions.
