ART! Gallery Night Providence – A monthly night of Art, Creativity and Community
Spend an evening discovering the artists, exhibitions, and creative spaces that make Providence one of New England’s most vibrant arts communities. The events are held monthly and the next is Thursday, August 20th, starting at 5:30pm.
Gallery Night is an evening of pay-what-you-can guided walking & bus tours that feature open access to galleries, museums, and art spaces throughout the Creative Capital.

Join a Guided Tour
Hop aboard a guided bus tour or join a walking tour led by knowledgeable local guides. Each tour visits 3–4 art spaces over approximately two hours, giving you behind-the-scenes access to exhibitions, artists, and the stories that make Providence’s creative community unique.

Prefer to chart your own course? Many participating galleries and art spaces are open throughout the evening, allowing you to create your own adventure and discover the exhibitions that interest you most.
Meet Artists & Discover New Work
From contemporary painting and photography to sculpture, mixed media, and emerging artists, every Gallery Night offers something new to experience. Many venues feature artist talks, special exhibitions, and opportunities to connect directly with the people behind the work.

Gallery Night is more than an art tour. It’s an opportunity to explore downtown Providence, enjoy local restaurants, and experience the energy of the city alongside fellow art lovers, visitors, and community members.

About Gallery Night
Gallery Night takes place on the Third Thursday of every month from March through November, rain or shine. Guided tours typically depart between 5:00 and 6:30 PM, with each experience lasting about two hours.

Most tours last approximately two hours and visit 3–4 locations.
Pay What You Can
Gallery Night is designed to be accessible to everyone. Guided tours operate on a pay-what-you-can donation model, allowing guests to contribute at a level that feels comfortable for them. Your support helps fund future events, promote local artists, and keep Gallery Night thriving for the entire community.
- Suggested Donation: $30–$40 per person
- Self-Guided Visits: Free to attend
Where to Start
Most tours depart from the Graduate Hotel in downtown Providence. Select tours may depart from the WaterFire Arts Center. Departure locations are listed when tour details are announced each month.
Parking & Transportation
- Convenient downtown parking garages and lots are available near the Graduate Hotel.
- Free parking is available at the WaterFire Arts Center.
- RIPTA buses, Uber, and Lyft are also great options for getting to and from Gallery Night.
Reservations
Advance registration is strongly encouraged, but many tours also offer limited first-come, first-served availability on the night of the event. Gallery Night tours operate on a pay-what-you-can model, making the experience accessible to everyone.
