New Homeownership and Financial Center Open House for Ready-to-Buy or Just Exploring
New center opens doors to homeownership with open house and mortgage lender event
Pawtucket Central Falls Development will celebrate the opening of its new Homeownership & Financial Center with a free open house connecting prospective homebuyers with nearly a dozen local mortgage lenders.
“Fall into Possibility: Homeownership Center Open House + Meet the Mortgage Lenders” takes place Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at 44 Central Street in Central Falls. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera is scheduled for 11 a.m.
The event welcomes residents from Rhode Island and Southeastern New England, whether they are ready to buy a home or just beginning to explore the possibility.
Visitors can meet directly with mortgage professionals to ask about loan options, the pre-approval process, down payment assistance and other resources that may help make homeownership more accessible. PCF Development staff will also share information about the organization’s HUD-approved homebuyer education program, housing counseling services and affordable homeownership opportunities, including homes currently in development.
“You do not have to be ready to purchase a home today to start preparing for homeownership,” said Dianny Melusky, homeownership director at PCF Development. “This event is an opportunity to ask questions and connect with professionals who can help you better understand the process. Sometimes the most important first step is simply knowing where to begin.”
The new center provides a dedicated space for homebuyer and financial education, counseling and connections to housing resources. Attendees can tour the facility, meet staff and learn how to begin preparing for homeownership.
“We want this to be a one-stop experience where you can meet with multiple mortgage lenders, learn about different programs and resources, ask questions, and start exploring the options that may be available to you, all in one place,” Melusky said.
Multilingual assistance will be available on-site, and street parking is available on surrounding streets. Admission is free and open to the public.
For more information, contact Dianny Melusky at 401-726-1173, ext. 12, or [email protected].
