Inside the Lindsay Clancy Jury Room: Jurors Explain Why They Couldn’t Reach a Verdict (VIDEO)

Three members of the jury in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial are describing the deliberations that ended in a mistrial—and the disagreement they say prevented a verdict.

In an exclusive interview with NBC10 Boston’s Sue O’Connell, foreperson Roni Carlson and fellow jurors Paula Devlin and Kellie Farina discussed the evidence, the attorneys and their struggle to reach agreement.

According to their account, three jurors were persuaded during deliberations to support a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity. One remained opposed. Carlson said that juror acknowledged reasonable doubt but still would not agree to acquittal.

Their descriptions represent the perspectives of the jurors interviewed. NBC10 Boston reported that it had attempted to contact the holdout juror.
