RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Sat/Sun, July 11/12, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 7/11/20:
What’s left of Tropical Storm Fay follows the Appalachian Trail northward through western New England and finishes up dumping rain by early morning. We’ll get a decent gap before another lighter batch of late evening showers rolls through with a secondary trough of low pressure. We’ll get a definite tropical feel from the southerly flow off of the bay following behind Fay’s northward trek. Morning lows in the mid 70’s rise only to the low 80’s by afternoon.
Sunday 7/12/20:

Fay is out of town, and another weak cold front moves in and tries to clean up some of the humidity. Any additional dryness ushered in on southwesterly winds will be offset by additional sunshine and warmth, afternoon highs climbing to the upp 80’s and cracking 90 in some locales from lows in the mid 70’s.
