RI Weather Today – June 24, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Another day of coastal fog reaching parts of the interior before burning off by mid morning. Morning lows in the upper 60’s rise to the lower 80’s as dewpoints again rise into the 70’s for muggy conditions with a warm moist breeze generally out of the southwest ahead of a weak cold front that will move through in the afternoon. We’ll see a chance for a shower or two in spots before the front passes, maybe even a spark or two of lightning, something to watch for. Dewpoints relent somewhat in the evening thanks to a wind shift behind the frontal passage that will bring drier air into the area overnight.
