Gimme’ Shelter: Lilly is a sweet girl – at the Providence Animal Control Center

Meet Lilly! This sweet girl was found by a good Samaritan who was out looking for their own dog. We named her Lilly after lily pads because she was found by the pond in Roger Williams park. While we don’t know much about her life before she came to us, she has been nothing but an angel with everyone she meets here.

She isn’t super active or playful. Lilly prefers human attention and affection. She is the perfect size and most likely will be a couch potato once she settles into a loving home.

She is a stunning young dog with the cutest little strut and a beautiful stance. Any one lucky enough to add her to their life with feel like they hit the jackpot. She has so much love to give, so come scoop her up today!

We always like to see the “one-word” descriptions the facility picks for our featured dogs – Lilly’s are:

Affectionate, Friendly, Loves, Sweet, and Gentle!

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
