RI Weather Today – 5/29/2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A trough of low pressure sets up over New England with some light showers overnight lingering into the morning, and not really totally leaving, so some occasional widely scattered showers may be felt through the day. More light rain is expected later in the day as the primary cold front out west moves closer to the area. A tight temperature range is expected given the clouds and high relative humidity, morning lows in the mid 60’s and afternoon highs in the low 70’s with a continued south-southwesterly breeze gusting towards 30 mph at times.
