Rhode Island Weather for Feb. 18, 2025 – Jack Donnelly
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
We will still be under the influence of the “Polar Vortex”, just deep and dense cold air descending into the lower 48 states. Being on the eastern edge of this entity means the chill of the howling west-northwesterly winds will dig down into the single digits, and our roadways will continue to be turned into a game of Frogger.
Afternoon high temps reach only into the mid 20’s under a healthy but sadly useless batch of sunshine, with book-ended morning and evening lows in the mid teens, winds gusting to 40 mph.
It’s a “C” day!
