Providence College’s Ben Mondor Center for Nursing and Health Sciences set to open
The Ben Mondor Center for Nursing and Health Sciences at Providence College will officially open to students on Monday, January 13th, the start of spring semester.
PC established a new School of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2022. When the College’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree was approved by the RI Board of Nursing and Nurse Registration in 2023, it was the first new nursing program in RI in over ten years. The program currently has 138 undergraduate students enrolled in the Nursing major. Another 75 are expected to enroll in the fall of 2025.
PC broke ground on the five-story, 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art Mondor Center in September 2023. The building is named for former Pawtucket Red Sox owner and businessman Ben Mondor. His widow made a gift to the college to name the facility in his honor.
In addition to state-of-the-art labs and simulation rooms, the Center features tutoring and study spaces, faculty offices, and additional resources to support student success inside and outside of the classroom.
