Gimme’ Shelter: Chula at Providence Animal Control Center

I’m Chula and I am the best little pupper there ever was! I am about 6 or 7 months old now. I sit and wait for my food and I am eager for cookies!

I have some puppy things to work out but, you’re only a puppy once, right? I have been spayed now.

My person couldn’t keep me, they were living in a group home. I did my shhhh’s and hid and did my best, but I still couldn’t be with my person. I am ready for my new home! I am curious about other dogs too, I am ready to complete most families!

If you can see me, I am still available! No phone calls please, everything is done online and we do need an application submitted and approved before scheduling a visit. We differ from other shelters by offering a one on one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! Please email [email protected]

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
