Holiday Giving in RI: St. Mary’s Home for Children “Angels for St. Mary’s” needs gifts for 400 children

 Donations to be accepted through December 15th

St. Mary’s Home for Children, at 420 Fruit Hill Road in North Providence announces its “Angels for St. Mary’s” Holiday Giving Campaign to provide holiday gifts and other necessities for the 400 children, aged 6 to 21, in St. Mary’s care.

“While the holidays are a time when we count our many blessings, for a child who has suffered abuse, homelessness, or other life-altering challenges, they can be a time of sadness and loneliness,” said Christina Jagolinzer, Development Director, St. Mary’s Home for Children. “With the support from the community, we hope to create brighter, happier holidays for the children in our care.”

Several ways to participate

St. Mary’s offers several ways to participate and make the holidays brighter for the children and teens who call St. Mary’s their home:

fulfill the wish lists of residential houses or classrooms;

adopt a youth wish list;

host a Giving Tree with tags of wished-for items;

make a monetary or gift card donation.

Donations will be accepted through December 15th.  To learn more, visit: www.smhfc.org/ or call 401-353-3900 x262.
