Cranston honors veterans at Veterans Day Parade & Park View 5K
The Veterans Day Parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11:30 a.m.
The route will start in front of Legion Bowl on Park Avenue continuing past City Hall on to Hayward Street and down Rolfe Street. After the parade, a speaking ceremony will be held at Cannon Memorial which will include remarks on behalf of the Grand Marshall and remarks from Mayor Ken Hopkins.
Additionally, Park View Middle School’s 10th Annual Park View 5K Run/Walk is being held earlier that day, Saturday, Nov, 11, at 9:30 a.m. It starts at the school, 25 Park View Blvd. The course is around Roger Williams Park. For more info on this, contact Garrett McWeeney [email protected]

After the parade, meet at the Cranston Cannon on Rolfe and Park for a ceremony. This is a draft as arrangements are being finalized:

Moment of Silence – as we note the passing of last year’s Grand Marshal Don Mellor at 102 years of age

Dennis DeJesus – will give speech for Grand Marshal
Laying of Wreath in honor of our Veterans
Cranston Police Department – Firing of volley shots
TAPS – Trumpet played by: Lindsay So (Cranston East Junior)
