Gimme’ Shelter – Siobhan at the Providence Animal Control Center

Hi there! I was found as a stray outside when a concerned human called about me, I am so grateful! I was going to be a young mom soon with spring coming. I am a spry, sassy and active girl at just 10 months old. I am curious and outgoing and an escape artist, I don’t sit still. I need a home where I can get a lot of exercise so I can jump and climb and zoom…. and maybe another young cat or 2 to play with please. It will be difficult to keep me inside so a home where I can’t escape will be best for me!

If you can see me, I am still available! No phone calls please, everything is done online and we do need an application submitted and approved before scheduling a visit. We differ from other shelters by offering a one on one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member!

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia” philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
