Ed Cooley award dinner benefits DaVinci Center
On Monday, May 9, Providence College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Ed Cooley will be recognized by the DaVinci Center as the 2022 Community Humanitarian Award winner. A formal dinner and reception will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center beginning at 6:00 PM on May 9th, with general reception starting at 6pm, and dinner at 7pm. Tickets are $75 per person.
This annual award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to their community while seeking nothing in return. As a native of Providence, Ed Cooley‘s selfless service to his community made him a unanimous choice for this year’s award.
Tickets to the event can be purchased online at www.davincicenter.org
Proceeds will support many social service programs for people of all ages at the nationally recognized and accredited DaVinci Center on Charles Street in Providence. The DaVinci Center is a Providence based community center dedicated to the preservation of family, unity and tradition in a changing neighborhood environment. Within this context, The DaVinci Center stresses the importance of the worth and dignity of each individual community member and seeks to meet the needs of the whole person.
