Saturday 4/2/22:
High pressure builds in and interacts with the exiting trough, leading to still gusty northwesterly breezes blowing towards 30 mph. Plenty of sunshine taking the edge off of the chill. Afternoon highs reach the low 50’s from morning lows in the upper 30’s.
Sunday 4/3/22:

A cold front with low pressure moves in and triggers some showers through the afternoon, starting around noon and finally ending by late afternoon. Morning lows in the mid and upper 30’s rise to the low 50’s with a light southeasterly breeze.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the McCabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War.
