RI Weather Today, Friday 1/3/20:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Light rain well ahead of a developing storm system over the southeastern US will overspread the area during the afternoon. The slow moving system will plague the region for the next couple of days with waves of light rain, but warmer than normal air as well, so not a total loss. Morning lows will range from the upper 30’s to around 40 with afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40’s. Winds will be light out of the west generally less than 10 mph. High dewpoints will accompany the system, so mist and light fog is likely Friday evening and through the overnight hours into Saturday, so driving visibility could be an issue. Hands at 10 and 2!
