Your RI Weather Today, Nov. 10, 2021 – John Donnelly

by John Donnelly, meteorologist

Aside from a chance of morning showers as a weak disturbance passes through, we should have a pretty nice partly cloudy day. With afternoon highs in the low 60’s followed by evening lows in the mid 40’s and a light northwesterly breeze.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards not away from thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the McCabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War.

A meteorologist, John also is an avid golfer, runner, reader, hack guitarist, and walker. If you see a weatherman walking in a blue Jim Cantore weather jacket carrying an umbrella, look out!

Tell him that in this neck of the woods we would greatly appreciate an “Art Lake” jacket vs the overly-wrought style of Jim Cantors…
