Your RI Weather Today, Nov. 2, 2021 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
A weak area of low pressure in the Atlantic forms and may reach back with some showers later in the evening as it heads to the northeast. Chances are low for this, but they exist. Mainly cloud cover from this event.
We’ll start in the lower 40’s and end there as well, with highs in the mid 50’s during the afternoon under partly clout skies and a light breeze out of the west southwest.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards not away from thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the Mccabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War. A meteorologist, John also is an avid golfer, runner, reader, hack guitarist, and walker. If you see a weatherman walking in a blue Jim Cantore weather jacket carrying an umbrella, look out!
