Your RI Weather Today, Oct. 25, 2021 – John Donnelly

A change in the weather is coming, and it starts today. Some overnight showers will end by morning, but cloud cover will linger before the main area of low pressure rolls through and provide copious amounts of rainfall beginning in the evening, say 8pm on. We’ll have a high in the mid 60’s and a low in the low 50’s with a light wind generally out of the northwest shifting to northeasterly as the low center approaches.

Maybe time to close the windows.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards not away from thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the Mccabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War. A meteorologist, John also is an avid golfer, runner, reader, hack guitarist, and walker. If you see a weatherman walking in a blue Jim Cantore weather jacket carrying an umbrella, look out!
