Your RI Weather Today – July 8, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A warm frontal boundary strengthens early with the midday showers getting stirred up over the area. Cloud cover may break up once the showers have passed, but moisture being drawn in from Tropical Storm Elsa (Let It Go?) will cloud things over again by evening with rain likely for Friday, but don’t be surprised at some overnight light rain as well. Thursday’s highs will peak in the upper 70’s from morning lows in the upper 60’s with a near calm and variable breeze in the morning becoming southeasterly and slightly stronger by afternoon.
