RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Sat/Sun, May 22/23, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 5/22/21:
Weak upper troughs will be wheeling around low pressure over eastern Canada, which means some cloud cover and the chance for some afternoon passing showers. They would be widely scattered, so nothing long lasting. Morning lows in the upper 50’s followed up with low 80’s for afternoon highs with a light southerly breeze.
Sunday 5/23/21:
Another weak upper trough rolls on through, but with most of the action to our east, but there’s still a slight chance for a passing shower in the afternoon. High temps up there in the mid to upper 80’s under less cloud cover and evening lows in the mid 60’s with a gusty northwesterly breeze.
