Your RI Weekend Weather Wrap – May 1/2, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 5/1/21:
One cold front clears away, and we’ll be left with a fairly nice day before another weak system approaches from the northwest, with the chance for a shower or two late Saturday night. Morning lows in the low 40’s with afternoon highs in the low 60’s and a decent northwesterly breeze gusting to 30 mph.
Sunday 5/2/21:

Winds shift a bit to a more west-southwesterly direction with high pressure to our south. Warmer air moves in for the day as low pressure develops over the eastern Great Lakes states and drives some cloud development later in the evening. Morning lows in the upper 40’s and afternoon highs in the lower 70’s.
