RI Weather Today, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Strong high pressure shouldering the potent cold front well out to sea will be responsible for the coming days misery.
Dewpoints will continue an historic plunge this evening falling to the negative single digits, dragging with them kicking and screaming temperatures that will dip to the mid-teens by sunrise! Winds will be up and gusting, so wind chill readings will hover between 0 and -5f until the sunlight takes a bit of the razor sharp edge off of the bitterness.
Cloud cover will be sparse and thin, mostly a gauzy high cirrus about 25,000 feet up. No threat of rain for a day, small consolation for the deep cold headed this day brings.
