RI Weather Today – Mon, Sept. 21, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Cool and dry broken record pattern stays in place for at least the beginning of the week, with cooler than normal temperatures both high and low keep us in a Fall-ish chill as high pressure to our northwest drives a continual push of cool northeastern Canadian air into southern New England.
We’ll wake to a chilly morning low in thee low to mid 40’s generally, some 30’s in selectively sheltered country areas away from the cities and coasts. Afternoon highs climb only to the low 60’s under some scattered fair weather cumulus and alto stratus while the northeasterly breeze kicks in again with gusts approaching 30 mph… no rain in sight.
