Your RI Weekend Weather Wrap – April 24/25, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 4/24/21:
The winds finally back off a bit and warmth returns for a day. Starting out clear with a low temperature in the mid 40’s, we’ll warm to an afternoon high around 70 as cloud cover begins to increase and thicken ahead of a frontal system that we’ll deal with Sunday. Winds will be shifting just a bit to the west-southwest later on in the afternoon gusting towards 25 mph, much better than 40 mph!
Sunday 4/25/21:

A frontal system kind of spoils the second half of the weekend, light rain beginning before sunrise and ending by 4 pm, salvaging some the afternoon, so the day won’t be a total loss. Morning and evening lows in the upper 40’s and afternoon highs in the low 50’s with a north-northeast breeze gusting to 25 mph.
